SPE Distinguished Lecturer Program
The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Cambodia organized the SPE Distinguished Lecturer Program on The Evolving Role of the Human in AI-Driven Workflows and Decisions, delivered by Prof. George Voneiff of Weatherford International and Texas A&M University. Two lecturers and 18 students from the Faculty of Geo-resources and Geotechnical Egineering (GGE) were invited to join the workshop at the General Department of Petroleum, Ministry of Mines and Energy.

Master's Scholarship Awarded to Australia
Congratulations to Mr. Meach Vibolreach, a GGE graduate, for being awarded the Curtin Global leaders Partial Scholarship. He will be joining the master's degree program in "Mining Engineering" at Curtin University, Australia.

Student Internships: EnerCamp & the Faculty
On April 7, EnerCamp Resources — an oil and gas exploration company affiliated with Canadian gold exploration firm Angkor Gold Corp., which is currently exploring for oil in Cambodia’s Block 8 (Kampot, Kampong Speu and Preah Sihanouk provinces) — met with the Faculty of Geo-resources and Geotechnical Engineering and the thesis supervisor of four fifth‑year students to discuss the students’ research progress.
