Theme: “Innovations In Geoscience And Engineering: Cultivating Human Capital For Sustainable Growth”
The Faculty of Geo-resources and Geotechnical Engineering (GGE) at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC) organized the 3rd EraGET conference, which was held on December 12-13, 2024, under the presidency of His Excellency Professor Po Kimtho, Director of ITC, during the opening ceremony. This event is jointly held with the IGCP-700 project on Palaeozoic stratigraphic correlation and carbonate platform development in Southeast Asia, hosted by Mahasarakham University in Thailand.
This is the third time the EraGET conference has been successfully organized, which is a point of pride. This year is particularly special compared to previous years, as we have expanded international collaboration with various universities and institutions. We have partnered with JICA, Kyushu University in Japan, Universiti Sains Malaysia in Malaysia, and Caraga State University in the Philippines.
The conference received 72 topics from professors, researchers, experts, and students, both national and international, invited from the Institute of Technology of Cambodia, the Ministry of Mines and Energy, the Ministry of Environment, the National Authority for Preah Vihear, and Paragon International University in Cambodia; Kyushu University, The University of Tokyo, Waseda University, and Saitama University in Japan; Caraga State University in the Philippines; Chulalongkorn University, the Asian Institute of Technology, Mahasarakham University, and Prince of Songkla University in Thailand; Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in Malaysia; Universitas Gadjah Mada in Indonesia; Yangon University, Sittway University, and Sagaing University in Myanmar; China University of Mining and Technology and Liaoning Technical University in China; University of Paris Saclay in France; Banaras Hindu University and the Geological Survey of India in India; Tribhuvan University in Nepal; and the University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) in Bangladesh, as well as Nippon Koei Co., Ltd. and Renaissance Minerals (Cambodia) Limited.
The purpose of the conference is to create opportunities for sharing research results and establishing new connections.
